Jane Sofia Lang was born in England and raised in Calgary. She received her Bachelor of Physical Education from the University in Calgary in 1978 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, Ontario, in 1989.

Ms. Lang articled to the Honourable Judge Heather Lamoureux and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1990.

Shortly thereafter, Ms. Lang joined the firm of O'Brien Devlin Markey Macleod in Calgary practising Personal Injury, Criminal and Family law until becoming a sole practitioner in May 1995.

Since September 1999, Ms. Lang has practised exclusively in the area of Personal Injury law acting only for the injured plaintiff.

Her preferred areas of practice are Motor Vehicle and related claims; Slips, Trips and Falls; Sexual Abuse; Wrongful Death; and Medical/Dental Malpractice where she is an aggressive advocate for the plaintiff.

Ms. Lang has appeared on behalf of clients at all judicial levels including the Provincial Court of Alberta, Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal.

Ms. Lang is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association with memberships in the Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Insurance and Health subsections.

She is also an active member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Alberta Trial Lawyers Association.

Ms. Lang is an avid downhill skier and golfer.
